kinda wondering whats the best game (PSP/PS2/PS3 etc) today...
However instead of looking foor best games nowadays. (Got an old PS2, but already having problem, and i cant yet afford to buy a new one.) i just had this thought to list down my peronal fave games, since the release of Atari and Game and watch...
here it Goes....
10. MO AY LIN ( Nintendo Family Computer)- its an old skul Puzzle game wherein, the eastern island head statue ( the player) need to push the blocks on its proper places to get out of the exit door... very basic but keeps you playing, and playing and playing and playing....
9. PAC MAN / MS. PAC MAN ( Arcade) - The MAze, The Chase.. the excitement adds up as you go up levels, the ghosts keeps getting faster and the power pellet's effectivity lessens... this is one favorite, that you make the next one on the line ( local video area)... get pissed in wiating for his turn. hehehe
8. DONKEY KONG JR ( Game & Watch) - The Mother of All Old Skul Games.
The first Electronic game ever to hit our genre, Big time Game & watch, during that time is one leap to Kidkind ( mankind) hehehe.... this simple plot of just elude the bids and crocs hit you , on your way to unlock your Mama Gorilla out of the cage... you got 3 lives to spare and unlock over and over again..
Boring? .,... Not in our time.. we got blisters on our fingers, homeworks undone because of this.
7. MIKE TYSON'S PUNCH OUT ( Nintendo) -Not really aa big fan of ear eater Mike Tyson. but hey during those time.. the man seemed invincible...Little Mac Need to beat all the Super Boxer Bad Asses and fight your way to a Title fight with Mike Tyson... (This one we keep code) because during those tiomes we dont have all the time in the world to play Nintendo)
but anyway the player just need to strategize and learn your opponents move in order to beat 'em..
fave opponents includes Piston Honda, Soda Popinski, Super Macho Man, Bald Bull and Don Flamnegco
6. ADVENTURE ISLAND ( Nintendo)- Aside from Mario Bros. ( Baby Mario as we call it) Adventure Island is one of the most playable game with same concept avoiding hurdles, Beat the Boss and Save the princess.. only with a different characters, and settings... but was one of the best games during that time. We are one of the few i think who finished this. o kami lang nagtyaga?
5. CONTRA (Nintendo) -One of the most well loved game... I guesse everybody on my age bracket knows what
UP, UP, DOWN, DOWN, LEFT RIGHT, LEFT RIGHT , B, A, B, A means... and whatever those Letters that upgrades your armor stands for, onlooker kids have their own interpretation of it. its sure its fun hearing their conversation and unsolicited advices, which is an obvious manifestation of them cannot longer wait for their turns..
while we enjoyed engaging in virtual combats, we also enjoy the cool background music of it...
and everytime we grab the pads, it makes us wanna berserk like RAMBO!!!
4. THE CURSE OF MONKEY ISLAND ( PC) - One of the Coolest games we ever played in our PC ( How on earth can a personal computer be OURS. whew!)... it has a great Graphics and great plot.. in which we need to find items, by finding it doing something to earn it or our strategy will unhid the needed clues... unfortunately i want able to finish the game ( because of the super slow and constantly hanging).. it has remained as one of my all time fave
3. RESIDENT EVIL (PC / PS) - The First PC game and Playstation game that have kept us playing and playing...
because its superb playability... Blasting Zombies is surely fun, while we run when were out of ammunitions surviving the ordeal until we reinforced ourselves with ammos... cool graphics
2. NBA LIVE ( PC / PS/ PS2) - Together with Best buds, this literally kept us awake until break of dawn..
we would create our own league and Records of Win -Losses, Championship and MVP, habang nagtatagayan...
we have adopt our own franchise players, ( Rasheed Wallace was mine, Al had Chris Webber, Pamboy has Tim Duncan and Naughty dog has Vince Carter). everytime we do draft. do we have playing this? nah! we live it. hahaha
1. SUPER MARIO SERIES ( Nintendo) - Syempre The Mother of All Games Super MArio Bros... Highly Playable
we would play this over and over and over, going all through stage ( No warp Zones) hehehe...
while we also surprisingly found tricks that we boast our peers.
1. Walking on the Bricks
2. getting stuck on the Bricks
3. Sliding Mario
4. We get hit by Coopa by still get able to beat coopa
5. hundred lives by jumping off the turtle
.. and a lot lot more
... One thing about Super Mario Bros as a game. its timeless. and im still enjoying it.
